Dr Léa Beretti
DClinPsy, CPsychol
I moved from New Caledonia to Australia and the United Kingdom at a young age. Although this has given me incredible life skills, such as being fluent in French and English and learning about different cultures, I also had to adapt and assimilate into territories and unknown cultures. This has contributed to equipping me to be a compassionate, reflective, understanding, and attentive psychologist. This has made me more attuned to understanding the impact of how we interact with our world and how we feel about ourselves on our mental wellbeing.
I am a highly qualified and chartered Clinical Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (PYL043581). I have undertaken ten years of education and professional training to ensure I can provide the best psychological care to my clients.
I am deeply committed to helping my clients reach their potential by providing high-quality talking therapy. So, although I specialised in various treatment models, I strongly believes that the human experience is too complex to fit neatly into one model. As a result, my therapeutic style draws from multiple therapy models and is tailored to your individual needs. I always aim to provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and help guide you towards fulfilment.
Clinical interests
I have experience and expertise in working with a wide range of mental health and well-being difficulties. While I specialise in therapy for high-performance professionals, including investment bankers, my work also focuses on addressing burnout, managing stress, improving work-life balance, and supporting mental health. Additionally, I help individuals develop communication styles and learn assertiveness, both of which are essential in maintaining a strong sense of self, and to thrive within demanding environments.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked in several settings where physical health significantly contributed to mental well-being. As a result, my specialist interest lies at the intersection of physical and psychological health, and I take a holistic approach in my therapeutic style, recognising the intricate connection between these two aspects.
In both my clinical work and professional life, I maintain a systemic perspective, considering the individual and systemic factors impacting any presenting issues. You can read more about my work here.
