Curriculum Vitae

A portrait of Dr Léa Beretti wearing a white blazer and khaki trousers sitting on an arm chair, smiling.

I moved from New Caledonia to Australia and the United Kingdom at a young age. Although this has given me incredible life skills, such as being fluent in French and English and learning about different cultures, I also had to adapt and assimilate into territories and unknown cultures. This has contributed to equipping me to be a compassionate, reflective, understanding, and attentive psychologist. This has made me more attuned to understanding the impact of how we interact with our world and how we feel about ourselves on our mental wellbeing.

I am is a highly qualified and chartered Clinical Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (PYL043581). I have undertaken ten years of education and professional training to ensure I can provide the best psychological care to my clients.

I am deeply committed to helping my clients reach their potential by providing high-quality talking therapy. So, although I specialised in various treatment models, I strongly believes that the human experience is too complex to fit neatly into one model. As a result, my therapeutic style draws from multiple therapy models and is tailored to your individual needs. I always aim to provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and help guide you towards fulfilment.

Clinical interests

I have experience, and am able to work with a wide range of mental health and well-being difficulties. However, throughout my career, I have worked in several settings where physical health has significantly contributed to mental well-being.

As a result, my specialist interest is, but not limited to, the intersection between physical and psychological well-being. I value taking a holistic approach in my therapeutic style to acknowledge the connection of mental and physical health.

In my clinical work, and professional life, I hold a systemic perspective and consider the systemic and individual factors which may be impacting an issue which may be arising. Read some of my work here
